New Millwall Macron Kit Deal- Lions to part ways with Errea in 2018/19

Millwall have inked a new kit deal with Macron that will see the Italian company produce the club’s uniforms for a period of four years beginning the 2018/19 season. It’s a reunion of sorts between the two parties- the Bologna based firm made Millwall’s kits between 2010/11 and 2015/16 before the Lions chose to replace them with Errea.

This is the second new Championship deal Macron have picked up this year following their five year deal with Nottingham Forest. Bolton were the only Championship club to wear Macron in the 17/18 season. Other major new teams set to join them in 2018/19 include Serie A side Udinese and La Liga outfit Real Sociedad.

New Aston Villa Luke 1977 Fanatics Deal 2018-19- AVFC to leave Under Armour

Two seasons after inking a five year deal with Under Armour, Aston Villa have parted ways with the Baltimore based firm and officially announced a rather unique kit contract with Luke 1977 and Fanatics.

Luke 1977 is owned by Luke Roper, a Villa fan, and the new 18/19 shirts will be designed by him. However every other part of the chain, right from manufacturing to selling, will be done by Fanatics, the sports merchandising firm that bought UK retailer Kitbag back in 2016.

At the time of writing, Championship outfit Villa are very much in the hunt for a return to the Premier League in the 2018/19 season. Continue reading

Boro Hummel Kit Deal

Championship outfit Middlesbrough have announced a new kit deal with Hummel that will see the Teessiders outfitted by the Danish company for a period of five years beginning the 2018/19 season. The new Hummel Boro deal brings to an end Adidas’ current association with the club, which began in 2009.

Hummel last made shirts for Boro in the mid 1980’s, with the 1986/87 squad the last one to wear Hummel uniforms.

At the time of writing, Boro are still very much alive in the race for promotion to the Premier League next season.

Hummel currently supply jerseys to the likes of Charlton, FC Utrecht and the Danish national football team. Continue reading
