This is the new Boro away kit 17/18, Middlesbrough FC’s new alternate strip for the upcoming Championship season. Made by Adidas, the new alternate top was officially unveiled on June 16, 2017, roughly around two weeks after the club unveiled their home shirt.
The new away jersey mirrors the design of the home one, but in white and navy colours. A minor change is however present in the positioning of the Adidas stripes- they’re on the side in the home shirt, and on the sleeves in the away jersey. White and navy was a popular combo when Boro wore it back in the 2002/03 season. The club also used white as recently as 2015.
Ramsdens Currency remain principal sponsors of the new away shirt, which, like the home one, sees the return of the club’s iconic band design.
Nice shirt. Not too fussy.
Ramsdens or the Money Shop, I wonder which looks worse?
Why do Adidas seem to insist that the stripes are placed in different places on away kits to home ones, even when they’re the same template like this set?
