New Borussia Monchengladbach Kit 2020-21 | Flatex replace Postbank as Gladbach shirt sponsor

This is the new Borussia Monchengladbach home kit 2020/21, Gladbach’s new primary jersey for the upcoming Bundesliga season. Made by Puma, the new MGB shirt was officially unveiled on June 29, 2020. Die Fohlen also chose to announce their new shirt sponsor- online brokers Flatex, who take over from Postbank.

Postbank have been on the front of Gladbach’s jerseys since 2009 and were reportedly paying the club somewhere around 7 million euros. The new Flatex deal is for a period of three years (till 2023) and will see the Frankfurt based firm pay Borussia around 10 million euros a season.

Gladbach finished fourth in the 2019/20 Bundesliga season, behind champions Bayern, BVB and Leipzig, thus ensuring a spot in the group stages of the Champions League next season.

No details of the shorts and socks were released by Gladbach, but the kit is expected to go on sale later this week. It will also serve as the club’s 120th anniversary strip- Borussia were founded back in 1900, and this is indicated by the 120 Jahre words below the club badge. Continue reading →

New VfL Wolfsburg Kit 2020-21 | Nike unveil new home & away jerseys

These are the new VfL Wolfsburg kits 2020/21, Wolfsburg’s new home and alternate shirts for the upcoming German Bundesliga season. Made by Nike, the new Wolfsburg jerseys were officially unveiled on June 27, 2020, on the eve of the club’s final game of the season against Bayern Munich.

Wolfsburg’s new 20/21 home shirt is a light green creation from Nike. There’s a x graphic in white on the front of the shirt- the Nike swoosh is also white. The away jersey is black and neon green in colour, with some white detailing.

Both home and away shirts have Volkswagen as their primary sponsor and feature the city of Wolfsburg’s coat of arms inside the neck, as can be seen in the pics below.

The club will also have a “Event jersey” in blue for the 20/21 season. Continue reading →

New Bayer Leverkusen Kit 2020-21 | Jako unveil Werkself home jersey

This is the new Bayer Leverkusen kit 2020/21, Bayer 04’s new home shirt for the upcoming Bundesliga season. Made by Jako, the new Leverkusen jersey was officially unveiled on 26 June, 2020 and debuted in their final home game of the season against Mainz this weekend. The Werkself made a winning start in their new strip, beating FSV 1-0 thanks to Kevin Volland’s early strike.

A win against Mainz in their new strip could have potentially given Leverkusen Champions League footy next season, but Borussia Monchengladbach’s 2-1 win over Hertha meant that they, and not Bayer, finished fourth. Continue reading →
