Liverpool will be wearing their primary alternate kit when they travel to take on West Ham in tonight’s midweek clash. The Reds wore a similar cream coloured alternate kit for the same fixture last season (2021/22), but ended up on the losing side as the Hammers prevailed 3-2.

Liverpool have previously worn the current season’s away kit in the league on the road at Arsenal, Bournemouth, Crystal Palace, Manchester United and Nottingham Forest.

West Ham wore their third kit in the last round as they beat Bournemouth 4-0. They are on a five game unbeaten streak across all competitions and have reached the semifinals of the UECL where they will meet Dutch side AZ Alkmaar.

Newcastle United will be wearing their green and white third strip when they travel to Goodison Park to take on Everton. The Magpies will not be donning their regular black and white stripes, but will instead be in the third kit (dubbed the Saudi shirt by NUFC supporters) for this Week 33 clash.

Week 32 was a weird one for third kits- many sides wore it, but only West Ham emerged victorious.

Newcastle have previously worn their home strip against Everton, but not this time around. This green and white third shirt has previously been worn this 22/23 season at Bournemouth, Crystal Palace, Manchester United and Wolves.

Another weekend of Premier League football has concluded, and this one had several teams wearing their third kit on the road. Somewhat interestingly though, only one of them- West Ham, emerged victorious, with the rest either tasting defeat or having to settle for draws. Continue reading →
