Leeds United to wear third kit against Man City in Allardyce’s first game

Leeds United will be wearing their black and carbon third kit this weekend when they square off against defending champions Manchester City in what will also be new manager Sam Allardyce’s first game in charge of the club.

Brighton 1-0 Leeds
Brentford 5-2 Leeds
Tottenham 4-3 Leeds
Fulham 2-1 Leeds

The fixture will also make history for another reason- it breaks the long-standing 3pm blackout rule on UK TV, with Sky set to telecast the clash. The game was originally scheduled for the 7th, but was moved to the 6th because of City’s Champions League semi-final against Real Madrid. Sky had picked this game to telecast, and with the 12.30 and 5.30 slots not available, it will be shown at 3pm.

Leeds’ record in this third kit so far in the 22-23 league campaign, as seen above, doesn’t make for great reading though.
