Australian A-League side Brisbane Roar have announced that Griffith University will serve as their principal jersey sponsor for their upcoming AFC Asian Champions League campaign. The Roar’s ACL kit was officially unveiled to the public on 24th February, 2015. The strip’s the same as their 14/15 A-League jersey which is sponsored by The Coffee Club.

The Roar will play all three ACL home games on the Gold Coast, instead of their regular home at Brisbane’s Suncorp Stadium. One of the games clashes with a Foo Fighters gig at Suncorp, and AFC regulations stipulate that all games must be played at the same venue, leading to the venue change.

Griffith University have a significant presence on the Gold Coast, and the moving of the games presumably played a big role in them agreeing to sponsor the Roar Continue reading →
