New Portland Timbers Away Jersey 2016- Adidas Timbers MLS Alternate Kit with Star

Following on the heels of kit releases for Chicago Fire and San Jose Earthquakes, here is another one from the MLS- this time the new 2016 Portland Timbers secondary/alternate jersey. Officially revealed on 28 January, 2016, the red and black strip will be the first Timbers uniform to have a star above the club crest (as a mark of recognition for their 2015 MLS Cup win)

San Jose Earthquakes Away Shirt 2016

New San Jose Earthquakes Away Jersey 2016- SJ Quakes Sutter Health Alternate Kit

This is the new San Jose Earthquakes away shirt 2016, San Jose’s new alternate strip for the upcoming MLS season. The club have also brought on board a new principal sponsor in the form of Sutter Health, with the Sacramento based company inking a multi year deal to appear on the front of both home and away jerseys.

The exact value of the contract was not revealed but Quakes president David Kaval did mention that it was in the upper echelon (top 5) of MLS shirt sponsorship deals. New Chicago Fire Jersey 2016- Adidas Fire MLS Home Kit 2016

This is the new Chicago Fire home jersey 2016, Fire’s principal uniform for the 2016 Major League Soccer season. Made by Adidas, the new Fire home strip was officially launched by new sponsors Valspar Paint at Centerpoint Chicago on 27 January, 2016.

Valspar replace Quaker Oats in a new “multi year” sponsorship deal beginning this season. The paint company are Fire’s third major sponsors in its history, with the Best Buy logo also having adorned the front of the jersey in the past.

Fire’s last deal with Quaker was reportedly worth $2.5m/year and ran from 2012 till 2015. Continue reading
