Sligo Rovers have today (February 4, 2016) unveiled their new home and away kits for the upcoming 2016 League of Ireland season. The new strips, produced by Joma, were launched at the Clarion hotel in Sligo. The new Sligo Rovers 2016 jerseys are the first to be produced by Joma as part of a three season deal they inked with the club to replace previous suppliers Umbro.
Joma’s deal with the BitoRed is also their first ever partnership with a League of Ireland club.
The home shirt is predominantly red and will be paired with white shorts and socks. The colour scheme is reversed for the away kit, which features a white shirt and red shorts and socks.
Connolly’s Volkswagen are principal sponsors of Sligo Rovers’ new 2016 jerseys- a partnership that began in the 2012 season and was extended for three more seasons before the start of the 2014 campaign. It is the most lucrative shirt sponsorship deal in the club’s history.
The club also unveiled a third kit and new goalkeeper uniforms (blue and green) that can be seen in the pics below.
Sligo, LoI champions in 2012 and FAI Cup champions in 2010, 2011 and 2013, had a poor 2015 season, finishing 9th with 31 points, just two above relegated Limerick.
