Round 37 Preview- Wenger’s final home league game & Conte v Klopp

We’re into the penultimate weekend of the 2017/18 season which has just seen Manchester City being crowned champions. Week 37 begins with Manchester United’s trip to the Amex, where Jose Mourinho will be hoping to avoid becoming the first United manager to lose away at all three promoted teams in a Premier League season, and ends with a blockbuster clash between Chelsea and Liverpool that could well decide the Blues’ chances of playing Champions League football next season. New Aston Villa Luke 1977 Fanatics Deal 2018-19- AVFC to leave Under Armour

Two seasons after inking a five year deal with Under Armour, Aston Villa have parted ways with the Baltimore based firm and officially announced a rather unique kit contract with Luke 1977 and Fanatics.

Luke 1977 is owned by Luke Roper, a Villa fan, and the new 18/19 shirts will be designed by him. However every other part of the chain, right from manufacturing to selling, will be done by Fanatics, the sports merchandising firm that bought UK retailer Kitbag back in 2016.

At the time of writing, Championship outfit Villa are very much in the hunt for a return to the Premier League in the 2018/19 season. Continue reading

Cup Semifinal Kit Battle- Adidas, Nike & Under Armour in action at Wembley

We’ve come down to the last four teams standing in the FA Cup, with Manchester United, Spurs, Chelsea and Southampton set to do battle this weekend at Wembley. The first semifinal pits United (Adidas) against Spurs (Nike), with Chelsea (Nike) taking on Saints (Under Armour) on Sunday. Will the final be an Adidas v Nike one? Or Nike v Under Armour? Or a London derby between the two Nikes? Or Adidas v Under Armour?

For all the four remaining in the competition, this represents their last chance of silverware. Man City have already claimed the league and EFL Cup and United, Chelsea and Spurs have all been eliminated from continental competition. Burnley will also be watching the Chelsea Southampton clash with great interest. Unless Saints win the FA Cup, the Clarets, in all probability, will be making their first European appearance in over five decades next season Continue reading
