Another crucial round of league action complete, and this was a bit of a disappointment for Castore. All three of their sides- Aston Villa, Wolves and Newcastle, had home advantage, but couldn’t make the most of it.
Aston Villa (Castore) 2-4 Arsenal (Nike)
Brentford (Umbro) 1-1 Crystal Palace (Macron)
Brighton (Nike) 0-1 Fulham (Adidas)
Chelsea (Nike) 0-1 Southampton (Hummel)
Everton (Hummel) 1-0 Leeds (Adidas)
Nottingham Forest (Macron) 1-1 Manchester City (Puma)
Wolves (Castore) 0-1 Bournemouth (Umbro)
Newcastle (Castore) 0-2 Liverpool (Nike)
Man Utd (Adidas) 3-0 Leicester (Adidas)
Tottenham (Nike) 2-0 West Ham (Umbro)
Villa took the lead twice against Arsenal only to lose 4-2 at the end. Wolves were beaten 1-0 by Bournemouth at Molineux while goalkeeper Nick Pope’s red card hurt high-flying Newcastle as they went down 2-0 to Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool at St.James’ Park.

Arsenal were in their black away kit against the Villans. They were dreadful before the interval, and that performance, coming on the heels of a 3-1 loss to arch rivals Man City, lead fans to wonder whether Mikel Arteta’s side were imploding. To their credit, they came back strongly in the second half, although they did need a bit of luck at the end, with the decisive goal coming cpurtesy a deflection off Villa goalkeeper Emi Martinez.

Crystal Palace wore their third strip for the first time in the league this season in their 1-1 draw away at Brentford. It could’ve very easily been all three points for the Eagles after Eberechi Eze’s strike midway through the second half, but Vitaly Janelt scored deep into second half stoppage time to give the Bees a point.

Everton are among the few teams to have never gone down to the second tier, and and their narrow 1-0 win over fellow strugglers Leeds in this round helped them come out of the bottom three. There is however plenty of work still to be done for the Toffees, but in Sean Dyche, they have a manager with plenty of experience in getting relegation threatened sides out of trouble.
Like Palace, fellow Macron outfitted side Nottingham Forest also picked up a point, and a very unexpected one at that against Pep Guardiola’s Man City.

The defending champions, as you’d have expected, dominated possession, shots and chance, but Forest somehow hung on, and then snatched an unlikely equaliser at the end through Chris Wood.

Capping off an excellent week for Hummel were strugglers Southampton, who upset Graham Potter’s Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. It was also a round to forget for Potter’s old club Brighton, who dominated on xG against Fulham, but ended on the wrong side of a 1-0 scoreline. The Cottagers, like Arsenal and Palace, were also sporting a black uniform.
The all-Adidas clash between Manchester United and Leicester City at Old Trafford ended in an easy 3-0 win for Erik ten Hag’s men, while the last game of the round- a London derby between Nike outfitted Spurs and West Ham in Umbro, saw the former run out 2-0 winners.
