Spanish champions Atletico Madrid have indicated that they will be wearing their new third kit for tonight’s Champions League clash against AC Milan at the San Siro.
The third jersey, predominantly light blue in colour with red and white details, is a tribute to the seats at the Vicente Calderon, Los Colchoneros’ erstwhile home for over five decades between 1966 and 2017. The Milan game will be an on-field debut for Atleti’s 21/22 third shirt.
Diego Simeone’s men drew 0-0 with FC Porto at home in their group opener a fortnight ago, while Milan went down 3-2 to Liverpool at Anfield.
Atleti had worn their 13/14 away kit (primarily yellow/blue) for their last trip to the San Siro back in 2014, when they beat the Rossoneri 1-0.
