This is the new Adelaide United home shirt 2021/22, Australian A-League outfit AUFC’s new bespoke primary uniform for the upcoming season. Made by Chinese sports company UCAN, the new Adelaide United home kit was officially unveiled yesterday (September 13, 2021)
The predominantly red jersey features a coral pattern on the side which pays tribute to the Swainsona formosa (the Sturt’s desert pea), found in the state of South Australia (where AUFC are based). The piping shrike, another SA symbol, appears on the back of the jersey with 2003- Adelaide United’s founding year, also present.
Inside the back of the neck are the words “More Than Football”. Flinders University are the principal shirt sponsors, with SA Power Networks appearing on the womens’ jersey. Starfish Developments appear on the reverse of the jersey, as can be seen in the pics below.
The new shirt will be paired with red shorts and socks. Adelaide finished 5th in the 2020-2021 A-League season, and reached the semis via the playoffs before losing to Sydney FC.

Ucan?
First Chinese kit manufacturer I’ve heard of after Li-Ning, who used to make shirts for mainly Spanish clubs, but seem to have disappeared now.
