These are the new Groningen shirts 2020/21, FC Groningen’s new home and away kits for the upcoming Eredivisie season. Made by Puma, the new Groningen jerseys were officially unveiled on 27 June, 2020, the same day that Dutch legend Arjen Robben announced his plans of a comeback with his former club.
Robben started his career with Groningen before moving to PSV and the veteran winger has announced that he will attempt to again don the colours of his boyhood club in the 20/21 campaign.
Groningen’s new home shirt features the club’s green and white stripes and will be paired with white shorts and socks. The stripes are broken, with sponsor Office Centre appearing in the centre. The new away kit is a purple creation from Puma, and a nod to one of the club’s original match shirts from 1971.
Groningen were 9th in the Eredivisie in the 2019/20 season when it was curtailed early due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
