This is the new Peterborough United kit 17/18, Posh’s new strip for the upcoming 2017/2018 League One season. Made by Nike, the new PUFC home shirt was officially unveiled on 9 July, 2017 at Serpentine Green.
Posh finished 11th in League One during the 2016/17 season, picking up 62 points from 46 games.
The kit pays tribute to the side which won the 1973-74 Football League 4th Tier (also Posh’s last league title win) with its red socks.
Mick George remain principal shirt sponsors, with Prince Build also continuing their association with the club by appearing on the reverse of the jersey. BGL Group appear on the shorts, as can be seen in the pics below.
France
Same as one of torquay’s change kits
“pays tribute to” is PR speak for “we noticed after we designed it that it’s coincidentally a bit similar to”
Would a third-tier team really pay tribute to a time they were in the fourth tier?
Not sure about red socks but it’s quite nice
