This is the new Liverpool away kit 2017/18, Liverpool FC’s new change strip for the upcoming Premier League season. Made by New Balance, the new LFC alternate shirt was officially unveiled on June 2, 2017, a little over a month after the Reds unveiled their 125th anniversary home strip.
Liverpool finished 4th in the Premier League in 2016/17, thus securing a return to the Champions League after a tightly contested league season.
Like the home uniform, the away one also pays homage to the Reds’ roots, with the white and green quartered design drawing inspiration from the club’s shirts from 1892 (they had a blue and white quartered pattern then). Green and white were the colours of the club’s 1991/92 away kit, and then again in 1995.
The jersey features a black collar and will be paired with black shorts and predominantly white socks with a green stripe, as can be seen in the pics below.
