These are the new Walsall FC kits 2016/17, Walsall’s new home and away strips for the upcoming League One season. Made by Carbrini, the new uniforms were officially unveiled by the Saddlers on July 5, 2016.
Walsall finished third in the 15/16 League One season behind the duo of Wigan and Burton Albion, but suffered a 6-1 aggregate loss in the playoff semifinal to Barnsley, who eventually went on to clinch the final promotion spot by beating Millwall at Wembley.
Carbrini have opted for a red & black checkered design in the new home shirt (a nod to their 97/98 season jersey), with red shorts and red and black hooped socks completing the strip. The away top is blue with white sleeves and navy cuffs.
Both home and away shirts are sponsored by Homeserve.

That home kit is so hellish the only place it belongs is in a bin the away kit is ok sold but nothing spectacular
though
Home 0 out of 10
Away 4 out of 10
White shirts and red shorts please, Walsall.
My god, who sanctions these type of kits? The away one is passable, but that home kit, just awful.
Walsall wore red and black chequers in 97/98. It looked weird then and it looks weird now (although at least it’s not Nike’s nasty fading chequer template).
There should be a rule: no reviving kits from the 90s, the decade that style forgot.
If you get bored watching Walsall you could always have a game of chess. Bloomin eck it’s awful.
