This is the new LA Galaxy home jersey 2016, Los Angeles’ Galaxy’s new principal uniform for the 2016 Major League Soccer season. Made by Adidas, the new LA Galaxy home kit was officially revealed on February 4, 2016 and will be worn by the likes of Ashley Cole (former Arsenal and Chelsea), Steven Gerrard (ex Liverpool), Nigel de Jong (ex Manchester City and AC Milan), Giovani dos Santos (ex Barcelona and Tottenham) this season.
The shirt retains the sash design from previous seasons, but this year, they consist of two bars in the club’s traditional colours. Another unique feature is the single golden star (the only MLS team to have one), incorporated to celebrate Galaxy’s 5 MLS Cup Championship triumphs.
Herbalife remain principal shirt sponsors, but have a new logo (which will also be reflected in the old away jersey)
The Adidas stripes go to the side and the lower front of the jersey carries the words “This is LA”
The jerseys will be available to purchase in both authentic and replica versions, with some features not available in the latter.
Everything seems quite well integrated. Gets a thumbs up from me.
Much better than last season’s overly fussy shirt.
Slight improvement to previous Galaxy home jersey but not mutch L.A Galaxy just seam so manufactured image wise since the Beckham days I always get the impression they care more about how glitzy the franchise image is rather than winning if they had to tuse they would go for glitz over glory but back to the kit I would give it 9 out of 10 needs a better & biger sponsor to fight in with there hole image thing being in L.A. having been to L.A Galaxy fit right in with how plastic and false the place is so in this way this jersey is close to perfect.
I prefered the jersey they wore last season.
