Cardiff City have officially announced today (January 9, 2015) that they will be switching to a blue home kit for the rest of the 2014/15 season, beginning with their upcoming fixture against Fulham. The decision was taken following a board meeting after fans met with representatives of the club.
Cardiff are currently in the Championship following relegation from the Premier League, and their attendances have significantly dwindled, with a recent FA Cup third round clash against Colchester registering the lowest ever attendance for a football game at the Cardiff City stadium (only 4,194). Their 2014/15 kits, made by Cosway Sports, haven’t set the cash registers ringing either.
The club have also announced that they will be wearing a blue home kit in the 2015/16 season, with red to be worn as the away kit.
A crest redesign is also set to happen, with a bluebird as the primary element.

So what happens in 2016/17? A switch back to red?
Congratulations to Cardiff City fans!
Well done Cardiff fans. It’s disgusting that someone who has a lot of money can come in and change the colours . What about the history and tradition of the club? As per usual no thought for the fans. The fans are the soul of the club. Well done again.
I am a Malaysian, but i am pretty glad to hear the change, especially since i don’t like the moustache guy…
Happy for Cardiff fans, all is right with the world again 😛
