New Man City Away Kit 2013/2014- Black MCFC Nike Jersey 13-14

This is the new Man City away kit 2013/14, Manchester City’s new away shirt for the forthcoming Premier League season. The new MCFC away shirt has been made by Nike and was officially unveiled on July 23, 2013 by the club. City’s new away top has two halves ( charcoal and black) and the design pays homage to the club’s founding fathers. Ardwick AFC played in a half and half design, while Gorton AFC wore black shirts. City were formed as St.Mark’s in 1880, which then became Gorton AFC in 1884 and Ardwick AFC in 1887 before getting its current name in 1894.

The Manchester City crest, the Nike swoosh and sponsor’s logo are all in gold as a mark of the club’s success in recent times, according to the official release from Nike.

Is that Hong Kong harbour in the background?

Also, black is fine, but I’m not sure about the “success” part for the gold lettering. Yes it’s improved, but I don’t think the club’s owners are thinking of it as “success” else they wouldn’t have shown Mancini the door.

The Goalie Jersey is nice the away kit is grand the collar thing is bad but the goalie jersey is fantastic

Re: Hong Kong — that’s where they are right now; did the same thing in NYC for the release of the home kit when City were there.

I’m not a big fan of buttoned collars on football kits, but otherwise looks quite nice.

i dont generally like black kits but this two tone shirt is a cracking effort from nike.

Wow…that’s an impressive kit from Nike, I agree with karen, usually not a fan but this is great

I hate how clubs are making their badge the same colour as the sponsor! Or is it just me?

Looks good but two problems when you actually see it.

The shirt seems to fold into the middle, around the buttons.

Unlike the Home shirt, the fabric is very heavy and has an almost plastic coated feel.
