Northampton Town have announced a new kit deal with Hummel that will see the Danish firm become the club’s new kit partners beginning the 2020/2021 season. The announcement brings to an end NTFC’s four year association with Nike (Just Sport) that began in the summer of 2016.

The new home and away kits for the Cobblers have already been produced by Hummel and a release date will be officially announced once there is clarity as to when the 2019/20 season will finish. Northampton, who were 7th in League Two when the league was suspended, will participate in the play-offs, which means the Hummel deal could begin with them in League One (as was the case with Nike), should they win promotion. The Cobblers have also announced that they will continue to wear their existing Nike uniforms for the playoffs.

Among League Two teams in 2019/20, both Cambridge United and Oldham wore Hummel produced kits. The news comes on the heels of the Danish firm inking a 3 year contract with Everton last week. Continue reading →
