Made by Adidas, the new AFC home jersey was officially unveiled on May 19, 2022- the same day that Puma released the new Man City kit. Arsenal, somewhat interestingly, opted to wear both red shorts and red socks in their clash against Watford yesterday. The Gunners had never used this kit combination in the league this season prior to the game against the Hornets- both teams were outfitted in their home jerseys, but AFC’s choice of shorts & socks took everyone by surprise.
The result went in their favour though- they won 3-2 at Vicarage Road and moved to fourth in the league table, with Man Utd and West Ham both losing over the weekend. Continue reading
Arsenal will be in their third kit for the second league game running this season with the Gunners set to don their blue strip when they square off against Norwich City at Carrow Road on Boxing Day (December 26, 2021)
The Gunners wore the third shirt last weekend against Leeds in GW18, a fixture they won 4-1 against Marcelo Bielsa’s men. Prior to that, the third kit had only been seen in action on the opening day of the 2021/22 season against Brentford, where Mikel Arteta’s side lost 2-0 to the newly promoted Bees. Continue reading
