New Philadelphia Union Jersey 2016- Philly Union Home Shirt MLS 2016

This is the new Philly Union home kit 2016, Philadelphia Union’s primary jersey for the new 2016 Major League Soccer season. The club finished second from bottom in the Eastern Conference and third last in the overall standings in 2015, and will be keen improve on last season’s poor showing.

The Adidas stripes move from the shoulder to the side, similar to what the sportswear giant has done for all its major clubs during the 2015/16 season.

The rattlesnake is a key part of the club’s crest and identity, and many parts of this new home kit pay homage to it (probably a bit too much in our opinion!) The golden centre bar on the front, for example, features a snake skin design and has the logos of kit manufacturers Adidas and club sponsors Bimbo.

Bimbo have appeared on the front of the club’s jerseys since 2011 and inked a five year contract extension in 2014 worth $2.3m a season

Fans will get to see the team wearing this uniform for the first time when Philly host New England Revolution next month (March 20). Continue reading

New DC United Jersey 2016- Adidas D.C United Home Kit 2016

This is the new DC United jersey 2016, DC United’s new principal strip for the upcoming MLS season. Made by Adidas, the new strip was officially revealed on February 6, 2016.

This is the first new jersey from D.C with the new crest following the club’s decision to opt for a branding change late last year. The eagle from the previous logo remains, but there is a change of direction, with its head now turned right instead of left. However the soccer ball and the golden star have disappeared, making way for the stars from the District of Columbia flag.

The predominantly black shirt has the traditional Adidas stripes in red, but at the sides instead of the shoulders. The back of the neck features silhouettes of U.S. Capitol, Washington Monument, Lincoln Memorial and Jefferson Monument, all important buildings in DC’s history. Continue reading

Bayer Leverkusen Jako Shirt Deal

New Bayer Leverkusen Jako Kit Deal- Jako to make Bayer 04’s uniforms from 2016-17

After four decades with Adidas, German Bundesliga club Bayer 04 will have a new kit partner next season in the form of Jako. The new Jako Bayer Leverkusen shirt deal is for an initial period of 2 years, beginning the 2016/17 season, with the option of extending it by a year built into the contract.

Jako already outfit several teams in Germany- Hannover, Darmstadt and Karlsuher SC to name a few, but Leverkusen will be their biggest club by some margin, unlike Adidas, where the Werkself were below the likes of Real Madrid, Bayern, Juventus and Manchester United in the pecking order. This was also quoted as a key reason for inking the deal by Bayer CEO Michael Stade who said, “Bayer 04 will be for Jako the clear number one among the advertisers – and not one of many

The new Jako made shirt will feature Continue reading
