1&1 Borussia Dortmund Deal- Internet domain & web hosting company to be BVB shirt sponsor from 2020-21

Internet service company 1&1 have inked a deal with German giants Borussia Dortmund that will see them become the club’s primary shirt sponsors for their Bundesliga games beginning 2020/21. However 1 & 1 will appear on jerseys that the club will sport in European and domestic Cup games, with Evonik continuing to appear on those shirts. The combined deal (1&1 + Evonik) will reportedly earn BVB around 200 million euros over 5 years (40m a year)

1&1 (1 und 1) primarily offer web hosting, but also deal with domains, SSL and other ancillary internet services. They were founded in Germany but quickly expanded operations to other countries, including the UK.

RB Leipzig Third Jersey 2019-20

RB Leipzig Champions League Shirt 19-20 | Nike New RBL Third/European Kit 2019-20

This is the new Leipzig third/European kit 2019/20, a special edition strip unveiled by Nike for German Bundesliga outfit RasenBallsport Leipzig’s European fixtures. The kit made its debut in the club’s Champions League opener against Portuguese giants Benfica- RBL unfortunately ended up on the wrong side of a 2-1 scoreline. Leipzig also have Olympique Lyonnais and Zenit St Petersburg in their UCL group.

As is oft the case with third kits, designers try to experiment and create something more funky, which certainly appears to be the case here as well. Continue reading

New Borussia Monchengladbach Jersey 2019-2020 | Gladbach to debut “smoky” kit vs Dortmund

This is the new Borussia Monchengladbach kit 2019/20, BMG’s new home jersey for the upcoming German Bundesliga season. Made by Puma, the new MGB 19/20 shirt was officially unveiled on 16 May, 2019 and will be worn this weekend for their clash against Borussia Dortmund.

The new Gladbach jersey features a green and black “smoky” design, to represent the energy of fans at Borussia IM Park and the atmosphere at the stadium.

The words “Die Fohlen” (The Foals- Borussia MG’s nickname) can be seen on the reverse.

Gladbach currently hold the fourth and final Champions League spot going into MD36, but are in a three-way battle for it alongside Leverkusen and Eintracht Frankfurt. Continue reading
