This is the new Dortmund home kit 2026/27, BVB’s new primary uniform for the upcoming Bundesliga season. Made by Puma, the new Borussia Dortmund jersey was officially unveiled in May 2026 and made its debut in their game against Eintracht Frankfurt, a fixture that BVB won 3-2 to seal second place.

In Puma’s words, the design in inspired by the Minister Stein coal mine (the Zeche or colliery that closed down around four decades ago) as well the iconic Dortmunder U (100th anniversary of the former brewery turned cultural centre building), two important landmarks in the city.

Puma have also unveiled two new Dortmund goalkeeper shirts for the 2026/27 season- one dark red & the other purple, as can be seen in the pics below.

The black and yellow combination of this Dortmund shirt, the lighting on the photos and the shirt sponsor might remind some of the Kaizer Chiefs jersey in South Africa.
