Software company Autonomy Corporation has signed a £20m two year deal that will see it sponsor English club Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League. Autonomy, A FTSE 100 listed company, also recently inked a deal to sponsor Formula 1 team Mercedes.
The deal is only to sponsor Spurs’ shirts in Premier League fixtures. Lilywhites chairman Daniel Levy came up with the idea to get different sponsors for league and cup games. Spurs are still hunting for a shirt sponsor for their Cup and Champions League games.
The Autonomy sponsored Spurs shirt will be worn by the club’s players for the first time in their pre-season friendly against San Jose Earthquakes on July 17.
