This is the new Ajax away jersey 24/25, Ajax Amsterdam’s new alternate shirt for the upcoming Eredivisie season. Made by Adidas, the new AFC Ajax top was officially unveiled on May 31, 2024 by the Dutch giants.
The kit features a unique graphic design that is a nod to the “artistic” nature of the city of Amsterdam, where the club are based. It features a mixture of colours, with greyish blue, yellow & green the most prominent ones.
The design however doesn’t extend all the way on the back- it’s only present on the lower part, with the upper one being plain. Ziggo remain principal front of the shirt sponsors.
Ajax finished 5th in the Eredivisie in 2023/24.
I personally don’t like this away kit, but can see a case for the hipster crowd liking it 😀
Although Ajax haven’t mentioned him as the inspiration, there’s a bit of Van Gogh in that shirt design!
