New shirt sponsor for Newcastle in 2023/24 to be almost 4x of current deal

The Times suggests that Newcastle United have already agreed a deal for a new shirt sponsor for the upcoming 2023/24 season. The name of the party hasn’t been disclosed, but it’s a non-Saudi Middle-Eastern firm, and the deal will reportedly be worth £25m per season. That is almost 4x of the Magpies’ current deal with Fun88, which is reportedly worth around £6.5m/year. NUFC terminated the Fun88 deal ahead of schedule- they have adorned the front of the shirt since 2017.

At £25m, the deal is probably the biggest of all ones outside the traditional top six (United, City, Arsenal, Spurs, Liverpool, Chelsea). Newcastle are currently outfitted by Castore and are expected to qualify for the Champions League next season- City in Puma have reached the semis of the current one.
