This is the new Brentford away kit 2022/23, Brentford FC’s new alternate uniform for the upcoming Premier League season. The Bees are one of the very few clubs to currently keep a two season period for their shirt- their 21/22 home shirt will also serve as their primary strip for the current 22/23 season, and this away top will, therefore, be worn for both the 2022/23 and the 2023/24 seasons.
In the words of Umbro, the blue kit takes inspiration from kits in the early 80’s and 90’s. The club also released a new goalkeeper uniform- similar template to what we’ve seen from other Umbro GK kits released so far, but with a different colourway. HollywoodBets appear on the front, with the SafetyCulture logo on the sleeve
Away ki is nice. Goal keeping shirt get the sick bag out.
Very dull design, as are all Brentford kits; goalkeeper shirt goes one further, very ugly and a mashup that doesn’t work at all. The castle badge, rumoured to ape the crenellations on Syon House, was a thing knocked up by Dan Tana, back in the 80’s and it is nothing special, looks extremely dated ( a football, derrrh!) and wasn’t worth bringing back from the dead.
Recent Away shirts have been very stylish and attractive and a pleasure to wear (I go to all away games). This one, unfortunately, is a dull product that I will probably not be buying. A pale blue! Just lay it next to our previous three away shirts and the problem will become obvious.
