This is the new Reading home kit 11/12, to be worn by Reading FC in their home games during the 2011/2012 Championship season. The new Reading FC kit 11/12 has been made by Puma. Reading narrowly missed on promotion to the Premier League last season as they lost to Swansea in the playoff final.
The new Reading home kit 11/12 was to be officially unveiled by the Royals on 8th July, 2011 but leaks of the kit appeared on a prominent sports retailers website prior to the release, leading to Reading unveiling the new top on 6th July, 2011. This happens to be the second consecutive season when Reading’s new kit was leaked prior to its release. This, by the way, was Reading’s 10/11 home kit.
The new Reading FC home shirt 2011/12, as you can see in the picture below, consists of alternate royal blue and white horizontal stripes. Waitrose remain the sponsors of the new Reading home kit, with the Puma logo and the Reading club crest both present on the shirt. The back of the strip is plain white in colour. The shirt will be paired with predominantly white shorts with blue stripes down the sides. Reading will wear their new strip for the first time in their pre-season friendlies in Slovenia.
