This is the new FC Utrecht home kit 2020/21, Utrecht’s new primary shirt for the upcoming Eredivisie season. Made by Nike, the new Utrecht jersey was officially unveiled on 1 July, 2020, on the 50th anniversary of the club’s founding (July 1, 1970)
This retro creation from Nike thus celebrates 50 years of the club’s existence, and as a tribute, features the logos of DOS, Elinkwijk and Velox (the three clubs that merged to found Utrecht) on the back of the shirt.
There’s also a big change on the jersey sponsorship front, with T-Mobile replacing Zorg van de Zaak as primary sponsors. The telecom firm have inked a three year deal with the club. Red shorts and red socks complete the look of the FCU home kit 20/21, as can be seen in the pics below.
Utrecht finished 6th in the 19/20 Eredivisie season, just outside the European spots.
With T-Mobile, I first thought I was looking at a Bayern away shirt rather than a FC Utrecht home one….
Love it. Good from Nike.
