These are the new Genk kits 2020/21, KRC Genk’s new home and alternate tops for the upcoming Belgian First Division A season. Made by Nike, the new Genk jerseys were officially unveiled on June 23, 2020.
Genk were Belgian champions in 2018/19, and were in a tough Champions League group alongside Liverpool, Napoli and Salzburg this season. They were however unable to defend their title in 2019/20, and had to settle for a 7th place finish.
The new Genk 20/21 home shirt is blue, as you’d expect from the club, with Nike also releasing a lighter alternate jersey. The club chose a rather unique way to reveal the new kits, showing a video with one of their players going through a car wash (home kit), and lifting in the gym (lightweight away kit). Beobank remain principal shirt sponsors, with Carglass appearing on the reverse, as can be seen in the pics below.
Genk’s new uniform releases are the latest in the list of Belgian club kit reveals in the last few weeks- also check out Brugge’s 2020/21 shirts, Standard Liege 2020/21, Zulte Waregem 20/21 and KV Mechelen 2020-21.
