This is the new Watford away kit 2017/18, Watford FC’s new alternate strip for the upcoming Premier League season. Made by the Hornets’ new kit partners Adidas, the change uniform was officially unveiled on July 6, 2017, around three weeks after the German sportswear giant revealed the club’s new home shirt.
The Hornets will be wearing a predominantly red kit for their games away from Vicarage Road next season. Like with the home kit, FxPro are principal front of the shirt sponsors, with 138.com appearing on the sleeves.
The shirt features white Adidas stripes on the sleeves and will be paired with red shorts and socks, both again with white detailing.
Never been a fan of this template, but thankfully they didn’t opt for the matching shorts.
Left over Boro shirt from last season?
Like the first Belgium kit when they returned to Adidas, a missed opportunity not having yellow instead of white stripes/trim.
So where do the Premier League badges go on the sleeves then ?
Last season’s template. Most (if not all) of the Adidas teams in the CHAMPIONSHIP are wearing this season’s home and away. I’m kinda baffled by their decision to go with something old, especially considering they’re a Premier League club.
i saw that template as a training shirt for some clubs. nothing special
Yellow trim would also have allowed them to wear the home shirt with the away shorts (against Southampton for instance).
I’m guessing that Watford are getting boring templates because of the hasty nature of their contract with Adidas after Dryworld imploded.
