This is the new Man Utd home kit 2016/17, Manchester United’s new principal strip for the upcoming Premier League season. Made by Adidas, the new home shirt was officially unveiled on July 23, 2016, two months after the club revealed their new alternate shirt for 2016/17.
The kit matches the leaked pic we put up last month and its design takes inspiration from the club’s early years as Newton Heath Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway FC. It features two vertical halves- one crimson red and the other scarlet red.
The honeycomb graphic on the front joining the two red halves is a tribute to the official coat of arms of the City of Manchester.
The shirt features white Adidas stripes on the side, which become red as we go down to the shorts. Chevrolet remain principal sponsors. Goalkeeper David de Gea will be seen sporting a dark number under the sticks at Old Trafford as United prepare for their first season under Jose Mourinho. The gaffer and key United players were present at the launch in Shanghai.
The kit is expected to make its on-field debut later in pre-season.

What are Lingaard and Memphis up to in that photo
Sack them both not worthy to wear the shirt
Aye, its alright. What can you really do with a plain red top anyway ?
If it were a solid red kit, it would be class, but this two-tone honeycomb crap just make it look like a stupid knock off from the discount rack. Another poor showing from Adidas.
Adidas really are back in the market now
