The new South Africa kit 11/12 contains performance enhancing fabric through moisture wicking properties, mesh inserts on the side for improved ventilation and embossed fabric to enhance the aesthetic appearance.

The templates for the new Puma Bafana jersey 11/12 matches that of Tottenham Hotspur’s 10/11 kits.

I wish Puma had put a little more innovation into this Bafana kit instead of making it a Tottenham ripoff

  2. Owza(SA)

This is downright desrespect from both SAFA & Puma, this is the most hideous kit ever, a straight Spurs ripoff!
Surely Puma can do better than this, utterly disappointed

  3. Khulani

@SupportBafana as far as my knowledge is concerned, Puma are the Sole owners of the kits design. Just as the previous Adidas kit was the same as that of Spain’s, my point being that they did not steal or copy Tottenham’s design. Great job Puma, nice kit.

  4. LES MA ADA- KO PITORI

Even the choice of green is depressing. Looks like its been washed and sunburnt a couple of times…..fake-makers are gonna have a field day making their own, might even be better than the original. But on the real, Puma did not make an effort

  5. godfrey

Puma did not take any efforts to design this kit. I wish they could have done more than they did. This is embarrassing

  6. johannes Radebe

It is beatifull congratulation.but the is something missing.can u call me to give u the details pleace.u will love my comment 0731684723

    @Khulani

Puma are entitled to do what they want with the designs, agreed.

But surely some originality would not have hurt?

  8. SupportBafana

Especially when you are designing a kit for a nation for the first time…. Wouldn’t you want to create something that makes you look better than the outgoing kit supplier?

  9. Oh No!!!

Guess the design is OK, only problem is that the color does not fit the design. Thus, fans can only see Tottenham Hotspurs when looking at the new kit. Could we not get any of the other Puma designs instead…R800 for a replica will also be a tough one esp given how the color & design is off-beat. PUMA, please help SA do not embarrass it?

  10. Belle

The green is too dull. I think Puma could have put in a bit more effort, nonetheless, SAFA your are to be blamed for approving something this ugly. Some kid playing around with a pioece of paper and a pencil can get this design. So not creative at all. Well, the nation, as far as I’ve read here, twitter and facebook, majority doesn’t like it. It needs a whole lot of getting used to. Which will down the sales of the jerseys at stores for the supporters. Don’t expect it to sell at all.. Down right ugly.

  11. thanduxolo palamente

Its nice that bafana has joined other African countries but ha ah the shirt doesn’t look nice they lack on the creative side, they just putted the lines like they don’t care. Please just try and come up with something creative please

  12. thanduxolo palamente

I’m really disappointed in Puma Africa, couldn’t they come up with something unique, some sort of African style African invention like they with their United Africa invention, where’s the dignity coping Tottenham, or is it because Pinaar is playing there, come on guys u can do better

  13. matthew

I can’t believe the home and away kit are exactly the same, just the colour’s swapped around…its dissapointing
As I thought adidas had just started to design proper kits for bafana bafana. In hindsight its only for a year and hopefully we can get a new improved design for AFCON. As this template is already a year old

  14. charles in Parys

thats da ugliest jersey ive ever, there was no creativity in it at all. Im very disappointed.

  15. mbongeni

Tottenham should sue for copying the design. The kid ie a disgrace to the country as a whole for their lack of design intent. It pisses me off. i am very dissapointed!

  18. craig

ja its reproduction not rip off. But the Green is sad and design boring. Puma are usually so much better than this. Hopefully noone wears puma’s boots. I swear players wearing them slip more!

  19. sonwabile

Looking at Shabba and Katlego they seem embarrased with the kit. Would it be impossible that we send a petition to SAFA to say thatt Puma must go back to the drawing board.
It is honestly the worst we have had since readmission to internanational footbal.

  24. Soccerlover

Def not hip and for the young generation…Puma please think out of the box,it does not do bafana justice, how will they b able to play a gud game in such a dreary outfit.

  25. Velas

the design is jus a template that belongs to Puma and for rthem to use it on our National Teams’ jersey is both an insult and a disgrace! really dissappointed in this regard, and how could FIFA approve such a design that has alreaedy been used by Spurs and other legue teams that are sponsored by Puma. Pure B.S

  26. Bernard Serumula

wait a minute, is this a new kit for national team (brand name like bafana bafana) safa please stop this joke kit and tell puma design a new kit or else i won’t waste money in buying this shirt or i will buy the adidas one not going to bafana matches until puma design the better kid . PLease Bernard form Atteridgeville

  27. fanatic

This is a total rip-off. Puma and SAFA must come to their senses. This is the most pathetic jersey I HAVE EVER SEEN. Even the school team can never appreciate such a jersey.

  28. ndoda ntsika

  31. Sizman

This is the ugliest kit i have ever seen in my entire life, i mean really now wtf puma cant yall do better than this???????????

  32. tyson

My my my my, what a ugly kit indeed. SAFA has really outdone themselves here, its hightime this people (Jordans and Nematandanis) we don’t know where did they play soccer to step down. Football loving coutries narture yesteryear players to run football because they know it to the tee. Steve Khompela, Lucas Radebe, poor Phil Masinga, John “Shoes” Moshoeu, Calvin Petersen, Zane Moosa, Linda Buthelezi, and Jomo sono himself.. OUR FOOTBALL IS RAN BY DUMB HEADLESS CHICKENS WHO CAN’T KICK A BALL TO SAVE THEIR LIVES. Even the kit used by Cosmos is 100 times nicer than this rubbish

  33. sthabelo ntinga

For me it a big NO ruther stick to old one, Puma\ Safa this is national team god sack. Adidas is luaghing at us.Pls come up with something,I am not buying this. thank u Haaaaaaa.

  34. tyson

Why couldnt they just copy from Cameroon, Ghana and Egypt kits. This is insanely ridiculous…WTF is this people, I wont waste my money buying this nor buy for my team SANTOS in Qwa Qwa, SAFA has just outdone itself, they’ve wasted another couple of millions taxpayers money going to Germany to sign a deal for this cheap cheap nappies,, Argh siees man

  35. Sizman

From Adidas to Puma… Damn talk abt a downgrade, im not gona buy this jersey, not even at small street for R50

  36. thandeka

change is good, question is change a necessity. Sad thing though, my grandmom just gave it the no no as soon as i downloaded the pic. Point is she’s is not even in to soccer, we all get the point right?!

  37. Sizman

Every African national team wears Puma, we were different and unique with Adidas, now we have the same kit as Namibia and f*ck*n Malawi *Dissapointed*

  38. johnson

People, this is a latest Puma design after the world cup. Yes you will see the same design worn by Cameroon, Ivory Coast and others. Swallows might still unveil the same kit for next season. The point here is we are not exclusive, we belong to the puma family now. Once again great stuff Puma. We welcome you.

  39. molemo tau

it aint bad at all but having been used to the adidas one comes as a bitter shock to one at a very first look, but maybe we will get used to it as time travel along

  40. ELLIOT

wow those are behind this owes the nation an explanation ,how can they copycat TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR JERSEY ND BRING IT TO OUR BELOVED BAFANA ,THEY SHOULD HAVE DESIGNED MAYBE 4 TYPES OF JERSEYS AND GET THE NATION TO VOTE FOR THE ONE WHICH REVEALS THE TRUE COLOURS OF OUR NATION,THIS IS SO UNACCEPTABLE 4RM ELLIOT AT THE UNIVERSITY OF LIMPOPO

  41. cyril

It doesnt matter dat much into whom sponsors us, what realy matters is the effort the sponser puts in order to maintain and gadualy uplift our image as a team. judging by this jersy puma has produced…it shows lack of interest to bafana.
