New Boro Tops 2016/17- Middlesbrough Adidas Kits 16-17 Premier League

These are the new Boro strips 2016/17, Middlesbrough FC’s new home and away kits for the upcoming Premier League season. Made by Adidas, the new MFC shirts were officially unveiled on 20 May, 2016. This will be Boro’s first season in the top flight since 2008-09. They won automatic promotion from the Championship by finishing second behind Burnley

The new Boro home shirt is “power red” in colour, with a white panel on the front of the jersey. The panel features blue trim on the lower end. White shorts and red socks complete the new look of Boro’s new Premier League home strip for 2016/17

The away kit is predominantly navy, with a chevron on the front in the style of Ipswich’s recently released away kit (and other Adidas creations in the recent past)

This is just horrible. Adidas failed big time with this home kit! Away is quite nice.

I can’t decide, is that diagonal stripe so random that the shirt is actually quite quirky and cool? Oh no, hang on, I can decide – no it isn’t.

    Like the home shirt.

Most players have their shirt untucked these days and if you’re a fan with a football shirt tucked into your trousers then you already look like a prat so the white band isn’t going to make any difference.

I actually like the home kit. It’s unusual and distinctive. In an era of cookie-cutter templates, they’ve dared to do something different.

That is a terrible home shirt, thankfully the away top isn’t too bad, not brilliant either, but more good than bad.

The designer at adidas who came up with that home shirt should be sacked. It’s just terrible. The away shirt however is great.

  7. Mr Boro

Shirt is designed not to be tucked in. They aren’t very long in the body.

Still it’s taking some getting used to but I actually quite like it.

Away one is best kit so far this summer.

Home kit looks really nice, I like the blue. I think Middlesbrough have only had blue in their home shirt once or twice.

  9. Aiman

The home kit doesn’t even look like Boro. And the away kit looks a bit like Melbourne Victory.

  10. Les Glum

The away kit is the same design as the old Germany kit from the last world cup!

Home kit is hilarious…………………….. unique at least but looks garbage
