This is the new Darmstadt home shirt 2016/2017, Darmstadt 98’s new home strip for the upcoming Bundesliga season. Die Lilien returned to the German top flight in the 2015/16 season after a gap of over three decades and despite being tipped for an immediate return to the second tier, beat all the odds to stave off relegation and finish 14th in the table, ahead of the likes of Hoffenheim, Eintracht Frankfurt and VfB Stuttgart.
The new strip has been made by Jako and sponsored by Software AG. Darmstadt were one of two clubs to wear Jako in the 2015/16 season, with the other being relegated Hannover. Jako have opted for a rather unique design to adorn the front of the predominantly blue shirt, with white shorts and socks completing the look of the kit.

Don’t like that one bit.
Darmstadt have gone from having one of the best kits in the Bundesliga to the worst
Contender for worst 16/17 kit already.
I think in most leagues I wouldn’t be a fan, but this seems to just fit a club in the Bundesliga. I’m buying.
I’ve never heard of them before this, so can’t compare to previous kits without research, but I on it’s own and out of context, I think this is alright. Really interesting logo on the socks is a nice touch too.
I Do not like it. Last year’s kit was much better.
