This is the new Milan strip 2016/17, AC Milan’s new principal home kit for the upcoming Serie A season. Made by Adidas, the new Rossoneri kit was officially unveiled on May 14, 2016 and will debut in their upcoming fixture against Roma.
Milan have underachieved hugely in recent times, and there has been massive speculation of a takeover of the club by a Chinese consortium. Fans will be hoping that they return to their glory days and will mount a more serious challenge for the title next season.
The jersey features Milan’s traditional red and black stripes on the front, with the back being totally black. The shade of red on the front is brighter than last year’s shirt. The club have attempted to create a “dripping” graphic, where the red fades into black. The Adidas stripes on the jersey are grey, and have moved to the side. Black shorts and black socks complete the look of the new Milan strip.
The old crest also returns to the front of the jersey after a two year absence. Emirates remain principal shirt sponsors
