New Liverpool Kit 16-17 | New Balance LFC Home Jersey 2016-2017

This is the new Liverpool home kit 2016/17, LFC’s new home strip for the upcoming Premier League season. Made by New Balance, the new kit was officially unveiled on May 9, 2016 along the city’s waterfront, but was leaked ahead of release.

Liverpool under Jurgen Klopp have made it to the finals of the Europa League, and a win against Sevilla in Basel later this month will give the Reds a spot in the Champions League next season.

The shirt is predominantly red, with hints of amber yellow and contains the words “There‚Äôs no noise like the Anfield noise” on the inner hem. Red shorts and socks complete the look of the new LFC strip. Simon Mignolet’s goalie shirt will be “locust green” in colour.

Standard Chartered remain principal shirt sponsors, and supporters can choose between the LFC style and Premier League style lettering on the back.

Simple, classy, well done from New Balance, hope the away and third kits aren’t as wacky as a few in the past, anything like the white one from this season will be nice. Definitely improving since the early days of warrior though 8.5/10

Nothing especially wrong with this, but if you’re a Liverpool fan you must be thinking whether it’s worth paying for a new shirt every year when all they do is change the trim from yellow to white and back again.

The yellow should be white apart from that it is ok nothing new or inovative about next season’s Liverpool home shirt. As a Chelsea fan I can say I honestly feel next season could be the season when Liverpool win the league once more the signs are good on the pitch.

Why have Liverpool been using yellow so much? I know they used it in the 80’s but there was white on the kits as well. It is simple and classy looking but at the same time it’s a bit boring and too similar to the previous home kit.

Liverpool home kits shouldn’t be exciting and revolutionary, in more recent years they’ve tried to be classy and slick to emulate the football at Anfield, the away kits are where they go a bit wild and try to capture the imagination

The design looks neat and clean.

    aesthetically pleasant, but practically doubtful.

Only 1 major flaw – the eye catching button.

which soccer player would want a button on their jersey especially when they play a grueling 90mins ++ on the field? they are not going for a ceremony or function or meeting right?

Not loving the buttoned collar, but aside from that this is excellent. Bold, simple, but screams ‘Liverpool’ and nobody else. NB were responsible for the best two kits this year (Porto home, Sevilla home), and now we have a first contender for best 16/17 kit.

Which lettering style is LFC going too use in the Premier League next season?
    Does someone now?
