New Hamburg Jersey 2016-2017- Adidas HSV Home Kit 16-17

This is the new Hamburg shirt 2016/17, Hamburger SV’s new home top for the upcoming Bundesliga season. Made by Adidas, the new HSV home strip was officially unveiled to the public on 5 May, 2016

The former European champions have struggled domestically in recent times, staying up in 2014 only thanks to the away goals rule in their playoff against Greuther Furth. In 2015, they survived another relegation playoff against Karlsruhe to preserve their status as the only team to have played every season of the Bundesliga since it began back in 1963.

The 2015/16 wasn’t smooth sailing for HSV, but they seem to have done enough to stay up and at the time of writing, are 10th in the Bundesliga (five points ahead of third from bottom Eintracht Frankfurt)

The new Hamburg shirt is again sponsored by Emirates, with red shorts and blue socks completing the strip.

Nice. I know the patterns that Adidas have printed on some shirts this season (like Chelsea’s) have been derided but I like it. It shows that a giant manufacturer can still be subtlety creative

I am split 50/50 on this kit still I like it more than the New Chelsea home kit to be honest would give it 7 out of 10 a bit more blue would have been nice but it is not a 100% must in my view I do feel the last Hamburger S.V home shirt was a bit to plain this one is slightly more creative in a way it may grow on me as time go’s buy.

I would like to see what U.A or Macron would come up with for Hamburger S.V that would be intresting to see I think.

Traditionally, there is no blue on the shirt. So it’s perfect the way ist is imho.

Does that shirt come without a sponsor ? Because its so plain, one would effectively be a walking advert for Emirates Airline in that top.
