Following on the heels of kit releases for Chicago Fire and San Jose Earthquakes, here is another one from the MLS- this time the new 2016 Portland Timbers secondary/alternate jersey. Officially revealed on 28 January, 2016, the red and black strip will be the first Timbers uniform to have a star above the club crest (as a mark of recognition for their 2015 MLS Cup win)
The red hoops fade from top to bottom and feature a thorn design, as can be seen in the pics below. The necktape features the words “No Pity in the Rose City”, with “No Pity” appearing on the back and “In the Rose City” seen inside the collar.
The lower front of the jersey features stand together axes. The Adidas stripes, like with other creations this season from the American giant, move to the sides.
The Timbers will debut their new alternate uniform in their game away at San Jose on March 13.
The kits come in both authentic and replica versions- the pics below showcase features from the authentic version.
8/10 Looks great, like how they stuck with the opposite color red aways.
Terrible jersey this never mind Seattle Sounders will show Portland Timbers how good kits should look when The Rave Green relese there kits.
Pretty cool. Fit for a lumberjack.
Nice shirt.
