Olympique Lyon are due to shift from Stade Gerland to Stade des Lumieres early next year, and have unveiled a special jersey to commemorate that move. Lyon’s first game at the Stadium of Lights will be against Troyes in January 2016. The venue will also be used as a stadium at next summer’s European Championships, hosting four group games, one round of 16 clash and one semifinal
To celebrate their move to the Stadium of “Light”, the jersey will be predominantly white, with golden Adidas stripes down the shoulders.
Lyon had unveiled their new home and away kits back in May, but this new third kit will however not serve as their European/Champions League jersey following their poor performances in a group that also consists of Zenit, Gent and Valencia.
The Adidas logo, present in the centre on the home jersey, moves to the side on this Lumieres one, and like the shoulder stripes, is also gold in colour.
Automobile major Hyundai remain sponsors, with white shorts and socks, both with golden trim completing the look of the new strip.
