We reported back in February that Bolton’s new 2015/16 season third shirt would pay tribute to those who lost their lives in the Burnden disaster, and the Trotters have now officially unveiled the strip, made by Italian company Macron.
The navy and black hooped shirt features the date of the disaster (09-03-1946) on the back of the collar, and pays homage to the 33 individuals who lost their lives in the disaster. The jersey features the names of the 33 and has a Lancashire red rose on the neckline.
Blue shorts and socks, both with white trim, complete the look of BWFC’s new 2015/16 third kit.
Season ticket holders will be first given the opportunity to purchase the shirt, which will sell for £44.99. £10 from the sale for every shirt will go to the Bolton Young Persons Housing Scheme.
Only 1,000 shirts will be produced and any remaining shirts (after the season ticket holders have purchased theirs) will go on sale, subject to availability.
The shirts will be unsponsored and will be given in a special presentation box.
Not a fan of the white trim on the shorts but it’s still a clean kit.
