This is the new Birmingham City away kit 2015/16, Blues’ new change strip for their games on the road in the upcoming Championship season. Made by Carbrini, the strip was officially unveiled at the club’s 140th anniversary dinner at ICC Birmingham on 18 July, 2015.
The shirt features a thick central red stripe, flanked by yellow and black on the sides, and is a nod to the 1972 away strip worn during the Trevor Francis era. Many other stars from the 70’s era were present at the launch, and all of them gave a thumbs up to the strip.
The jersey is paired with black shorts and predominantly yellow socks, as the pics below show us.
The Carbrini logo, Blues badge and EzeGroup logo are all in the centre of the shirt.

Birmingham have already unveiled their home shirt a few days ago
That’s slightly more than a ‘nod’ towards the 1972 kit! Carbrini have done a really good job commemorating Birmingham’s 140th anniversary – see, Forest and Sheffield United? This is what you could have had if you hadn’t gone with Adidas templates!
Now that is fab. Well done Carbrini. Agree with Russell about forest and Sheffield Utd.
Absolutely stunning kit
This is amazing!
Striking. Good job.
nice to see an anniversary kit but lets just think back to 1972 and wonder who came up with that kit.
Love this!!!
Very cool both brummie kits are great this year!
Belgium… Is that you? Almost… C’mon, Who didn’t think of Belgium when they saw this?
That is an absolute belter. Loveing the retro vibes from both Birmingham City kits this season.
No doubt about it that’s a nod to the golden age of football kits the glorious 1970s.
Birmingham have two of the best kits no doubt and fantastic to see the return of the German flag shirt.
@Jonny
Actually, it looks like Germany if you look at one side.
