New Rayo Vallecano Kits 2015-16- Kelme Rayo Rainbow Football Shirt 2015-2016 Home Away Third

These are the new Rayo Vallecano kits 2015/16, Spanish La Liga club Rayo’s new home, away and third tops for the 15/16 season. Made by local Spanish firm Kelme, the new Rayo 2015/2016 jerseys were officially unveiled on July 1, 2015. Kelme take over from Italian company Errea, who produced Rayo’s strips in the 2014/15 season.

While the home shirt is traditionally Rayo- white with a red sash, as you’d expect, it’s the away shirt that’s grabbed a lot of eyeballs.

The shirt’s predominantly black, with a rainbow stripe, is dedicated to fighting social injustices such as homophobia, child abuse and gender violence, amongst other causes (full list below)

Red stripe– Cancer
Orange stripe– Disability
Yellow stripe– Depression
Green stripe– Environment
Blue stripe– Child Abuse
Pink Stripe– Domestic/Gender violence

The full rainbow stripe as a whole– against Homophobia/discrimination against sexual orientation

€7 (seven euros) from the sale of every kit will be distributed among local charities who work tirelessly for the causes mentioned above.

Rayo also unveiled a third kit with a pink band (against breast cancer initiative) that will be worn when they travel to champions Barcelona. Chinese company stay as sponsors, having inked a three season deal with the Madrid based outfit last year.

Rayo finished 11th in the 2014/15 La Liga season with 49 points, just six behind Athletic, who grabbed Spain’s last European qualifying spot.

Absolutely wonderful idea, Rayo seem to be more connected than others in terms of their views and impact on society. Top class

This just smacks of opportunism and trying to get cheap plaudits by jumping on all this rainbow bandwagon

It’s awful in almost every way and what’s worse is that anyone that doesn’t approve of it will be treated on the same level as Mussolini and Goebbels

You clearly know nothing about Rayo Vallecano and their ethos in football if you think they’re jumping on the bandwaggon! I suggest you do a bit more reading up on this fantastic club!
