This is what appears to be the new Monchengladbach shirt 2016/17, German Bundesliga club Borussia Monchengladbach’s new home kit for the new season. The club opted for a rather novel way to unveil the kit, with fans seen wearing the jersey in the well known show ZDF Sportstudio

CC Mariners Life Saving Jersey 2016

New Central Coast Mariners Surf Life Saving Jersey v Newcastle Jets February 28 2016

Australian A-League side Central Coast Mariners have unveiled a special limited edition “Surf Life saving” jersey that they will wear in their F3 derby against Newcastle Jets on 28 February, 2016.

Made by Italian firm Kappa, the kit is a tribute to Surf Life Saving Central Coast, and 10% from the sale of every shirt will be donated to them. CCM currently have former Liverpool and Barcelona forward Luis Garcia in their ranks.

The Mariners’ opponents for this weekend’s clash, the Jets, had also revealed a special “Airforce” jersey for their clash against the Roar. Continue reading

New Wolfsburg Nike Contract- Wolves ink 10 year deal with Nike, to leave Kappa

According to reports in the German media, Wolfsburg have entered into an agreement with Nike for a new ten year contract. The Wolves are currently with Kappa, with the Italian firm’s contract due to run till 2019. However it is believed that Nike will buy out the contract, with the first kits as part of the new deal due to emerge in 2017.

The value of the deal is apparently 80 million euros over ten years (8m euros per year). While it is a significant sum, Nike might be getting themselves a good deal, especially if Wolfsburg manage to maintain their Champions League status. The amount also appears to pale in front of similar deals for Dortmund (15m euros per year from Puma according to domestic reports) and Bayern (60m euros per year- Adidas)

The Wolves are also one of the German clubs affected by the recent Volkswagen emissions Scandal, and confirmation of this Nike deal will go a long way in easing some of the financial hit that the club may take should VW Continue reading
