Chelsea will have a new shirt sponsor for the 2015/16 Premier League season after the Blues revealed that they inked a new partnership with Yokohama Rubber. The new sponsorship deal is for an initial period of five years and is a major achievement for Christian Purslow, the former Liverpool managing director who is now in charge of global commercial activities at Stamford Bridge.
How much is Chelsea’s new jersey sponsorship deal with Yokohama Rubber worth?
It is reportedly worth £40m/$60m a year (£200m/$300m over five seasons). These are what are rumoured to be the new Chelsea 2015/16 shirts. These leaked designs have made their way on to the internet and are roughly said to be the real deal from those in the know who’ve seen the actual shirts.
The mockups seem to suggest that Chelsea’s new 15/16 home top will have red trim. Away and third kits will be white and black respectively.
