This is the new Lille home kit 2015/16, French club Lille OSC’s new home strip for the upcoming Ligue 1 season. The new Lille shirt was officially unveiled by manufacturers Nike on 24 June, 2015.
Lille finished 8th in Ligue 1 in 2014/15, tied on points with Montpellier. They started well last season, suffering their first defeat only in Week 7, but a poor string of results dragged them into mid table obscurity, and a late charge came too late, and they were unable to break into the top six.
In continental competition, Les Dogues were unable to get out of their Europa League group, finishing bottom behind Everton, Wolfsburg and Russian outfit Krasnodar. Lille started that competition decently with three straight draws, but away losses at Goodison Park and the Volkswagen Arena put paid to their chances of emerging out of the group.
The shirt features two shades of red- the main body in the traditional Lille red, and the sleeves in a darker version. The jersey has a crew collar with blue trim round the back. Blue also features on the sleeve cuffs, as the pics below show us.
Like with most Nike jerseys this season, there are stripes running down the flanks of the shirt, and complemented by similar coloured ones on the shorts. Continue reading
