Partick Thistle Shirt 2015 2016

New Partick Thistle Strip 15-16 Joma Partick Thistle Home Kit 2015-16

This is the new Partick Thistle kit 2015/2016, PTFC’s new home top for the upcoming Scottish Premier League season. Made by Joma, the new Jags home strip was officially unveiled on June 30, 2015 at George Square in Glasgow.

The shirt features a new sponsor in the form of US based investment company Kingsford Capital Management and their logo on the shirt has been designed exclusively for Thistle by Turner Prize nominated artist, David Shrigley, who has also created the club’s new mascot Kingsley (also named after the sponsor). The logo is definitely worth a second look- not the type of logo you’d expect from an investment firm.

Mike Wilkins, one of the founders of Kingsford Capital, brought in Shrigley, and the latter being a Thistle fan, was only too happy to create an eye catching design. However it has courted controversy, with some dubbing the mascot a “Lisa Simpson” lookalike and Danish organization OOA accusing Shrigley of infringing their “smiling sun” logo.

White Roma Jersey 2015-2016- New AS Roma Away Kit 2015-16 Nike

This is the new Roma away shirt 15/16, AS Roma’s new change strip for the upcoming Italian Serie A season. Made by Nike, the Giallorossi officially unveiled their new away kit on June 30, 2015, three weeks after they revealed their 2015/16 season home kit earlier this month.

Roma’s new 2015/2016 away jersey will be predominantly white with a Henley collar. It features a light tonal graphic on the front, a tribute to the city of Rome’s architectural wonders, ancient streets and neighbourhoods.

The cuffs feature the club’s traditional red and yellow colours. Last season, these colours featured on a diagonal sash on the away shirt, which was also white.

Continuing with the current design, a yellow stripe also runs along each flank, connecting to the ones on the red shorts. White socks complete the look of the new Roma away strip, as can be seen in the pics below Continue reading

AFC Bournemouth Mansion Sponsorship deal- Kit sponsor for 2015/16 Premier League season

Newly promoted AFC Bournemouth have announced that Gibraltar based Mansion Group will be their shirt sponsors for the upcoming Premier League season. The Cherries secured a shock promotion to the top flight from the Championship by winning the league in 2014/15, and have opted for a change in sponsors, with Mansion coming in to replace Energy Consulting.

Mansion will be sponsors for all three of AFCB’s 15/16 kits- home, away and third, and their training wear.

Slightly older football fans will remember Mansion’s earlier sponsorship of Tottenham Hotspur. They inked a four year deal worth £34m back in 2006, allegedly after missing out on sponsoring Manchester United. This was a big deal back then, with the company having only been established in 2004, and betting tie ups with league clubs weren’t so common as they are today.

Cherries manager Eddie Howe and the likes of Andrew Surman and Tyrone Mings were present at the sponsorship announcement. Continue reading
