This is the new Borussia Dortmund Champions League jersey 2012/13, the strip Dortmund will wear in select Champions League games next season. Dortmund’s new UCL 2012/2013 shirt has been made by Puma, who have already released the other BVB kits for the 12/13 season. Dortmund won automatic qualification to the Champions League thanks to their Bundesliga triumph in the 11/12 season.
This BVB CL jersey, like the other BVB kits for 12/13, is sponsored by Evonik Industries. Most interesting are the spiked stripes adopted by Puma, a design that will fuel rumours regarding a similar design floating around the internet a few months ago said to be the new Newcastle home kit.
Dortmund participated in the 2011/12 Champions League, but were unable to qualify from a group that also consisted of Arsenal, Marseille and Olympiakos.
