These are the new Orlando Pirates 2012/2013 kits, the home and away jerseys for South African Premier Soccer League (PSL) club Orlando Pirates for the 2012/13 season. Pirates, nicknamed the Bucs, won their fourth PSL championship in the 2011/2012 season, edging Moroka Swallows and SuperSport United to the title. Orlando Pirates’ new kits have been made by Adidas and in a controversial move, there will be no black jersey ( Pirates’ traditional colours) for the club this season
The new OPFC shirts were officially revealed on 5 July, 2012 by Adidas.
South African telecom major Vodacom are the principal sponsors of Orlando Pirates’ new 2012/2013 jerseys, as can be seen in the pictures below.

We love the Red as well as the White, but the BLACK IS A MUST. We must have a BLACK jersey, it simbolises everything about Orlando Pirates. Please Adidas, Dr Khoza bring back OUR BLACK JERSEY.

Indeed Ezimnyama ngenkane! Not Ezibomvu! Red was a nice addition, I agree, but how about the original BLACK??? That doesn’t make sense at all. I would really love to see black again, very soon, it is what makes Orlando Pirates the true Buccaneers!
